I had tried on and off to find my birth mother & father since I turned 40 for 18 years with dead ends. It was only a chance meeting with Melanie and her work with DNA that I decided to give it one more go. Melanie assured me that if there was a thread of a DNA connection she would be able to find my birth parents, so after I submitted my DNA sample to the database Melanie went straight to work it wasn’t long and before she had connections and on Christmas eve I got the news, she found my birth mother alive. It took a little longer to find my father but a few months later I received another call with a name and address, although my had passed away it somehow gave me closure on a part of my life that until then had been shrouded in mystery.
